The IS-3000 product family offers DSC class image processing solutions ranging from 3M Pixels to 8 M Pixels of resolution. The IS-3000 family of products integrates a high-performance image processing pipeline, an image enhancement processor, scaling and rotation engine, and a JPEG encoder. Rich set of features combined with low pin-count, small footprint and low power consumption make these products highly suitable for cellular and other battery powered handheld applications.
The image processing pipeline includes, algorithms that compensate for defects in the optics and sensor defects, a statistics collection engine to support high quality Auto-functions (AE, AWB, AF) and proprietary algorithms for superior low light performance and wide dynamic range imagery. Image enhancement features such as anti-shake, face detection; image and video stabilization further improve the quality of images captured under all conditions.
The product family integrates a high performance image processor and enhancement engine with a 32-bit RISC controller, external memory interfaces, parallel (CCIR-656) and high-speed serial (MIPI) image and video data interfaces allowing for different system integration options.

IS-3000 family of products are available both in bare die form as well as in low-profile, low pin-count BGA package form. InSilica provides software and firmware libraries that include sensor and optics specific information such as auto-white balance tables and lens-shading or color shading tables. A simplified API allows for easy software integration with the host or baseband processor. Dedicated I2C slave interface to the host and master interface to the sensor and Auto-Focus driver are used to program various parameters and control the AF actuators, required for high quality image and video capture. InSilica provides evaluation platforms to enable customers to deliver highly competitive and high performance consumer products in a short time.
The IS-1000 product family offers a wide variety of Image, Video and Audio CODEC solutions integrated with a rich set of peripheral device controllers making them ideal solutions for image and video capture applications as well image and video playback applications, such as cellular phones to picture frames to Portable Media Players respectively. Very small footprint and low power consumption make these products highly suitable for cellular and other battery powered applications. IS-1000 when combined with IS-3000 family of devices offers a comprehensive, imaging and video sub-system solution.
IS-1000 family of products supports, a wide variety of image and video CODECS starting from JPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 and WMV. Popular AUDIO CODEC standards such as MP3, MPEG AAC and WMA are supported. Optionally TV encoders (PAL, NTSC) are integrated enabling composite or S-Video, TV output. A wide range of SD, MMC, Flash and USB memory cards and sticks are supported for media file storage.

Dedicated logic blocks perform all the complex functionality for JPEG, MPEG Video CODECS, and image/video scaling. Along with several evaluation boards thus making it possible to quickly develop a competitive and high-performance consumer product.
